There are accommodation facilities in Kars that will suit everyone’s budget. Besides hotels, there are also guest houses which accept visitors.

KARS HOTEL

This is an old Russian building converted into a boutique hotel. It is a four-story stone building with interesting architecture and it is heated by the pec system. It has eight rooms, each named after a different town of Kars province, and one after the Aras River which draws the border between Armenia and Turkey. There are also suites. There is telephone, VCD, TV, wireless internet connection and a fireplace in the rooms. On Friday and Saturday evenings, the students of the Caucasus University Conservatory on the opposite side of the street, give a piano and flute recital. There is also a little garden which is open in summers. Online reservations are possible.

This five-star hotel is five kilometers from Sarikamis town center and 58 kilometers from Kars center. Its location close to the skiing facilities is its main attraction. It has 145 rooms, four penthouse suites, five suites, six junior suites and one room with facilities for the disabled. It has all the requirements of a five star hotel such as a swimming pool, restaurant, bar, sauna, conference rooms, sports facilities, babysitting and a boutique. A two-story building with 24 rooms, all with bathrooms, TV and telephone. In this hotel, which is monitored with security cameras, it is forbidden to take guests up to the rooms. Married couples have to show their marriage certificates but this common rule in conservative rural Turkey does not apply to foreigners. Room fees must be paid in advance
