SIGHTSEEING
Sightseeing in Kars is best divided into two different tours. Kaleici or the old city (the name literally means inside the city walls) and Tahtduzu. The old city is the area starting from the Kars Fortress and the slopes beneath surrounded by the city walls. The city inside these walls does not exist any more, although it has been established that the area along the Kars River is one of the oldest settlements in the region.
